No Escape from Alcaraz. Carlos Alcaraz defeats David Goffin 6-3 6-3 Melbourne 2021
A few points from the Carlos Alcaraz vs. David Goffin match from Melbourne.
Alcaraz has huge potential and showed with a straight sets win over the top seed. He won't be playing on small outside courts for long.

Chibuike hits a piledriver for Rosenborg vs. Viking Stavanger. The dance isn't too bad either and goalkeeper had no chance.
Marcel Granollers and Joao Sousa have a disagreement
Просмотров 20 тыс.12 лет назад
Marcel Granollers and Joao Sousa from Portugal having a classic Iberian battle plenty of antics here. Sousa was angry about Granollers taking injury timeout then running like a rabbit and time wasting using his leg as an excuse then it got better. Granollers said Sousa disrespected him. Sousa replied " shut up". Granollers won the match & said "take that you piece of crap". Sousa then responds ...
Noah vs. Carlsson (1/4)
Просмотров 19 тыс.12 лет назад
Contrasting styles between serve volleyer Yannick Noah and Swedish topspin machine Kent Carlsson from 1987 Roland Garros. Fun stuff and too bad the French commentators feel the need to talk too much. Absolutely no copyright infringement intended
Noah vs. Carlsson (4/4)
Просмотров 22 тыс.12 лет назад
Noah eventually wins a very tough encounter in 4 tight sets, but took a lot out of him as Wilander defeated him easily in the quarter finals.
Noah vs. Carlsson (3/4)
Просмотров 18 тыс.12 лет назад
Noah even hitting moonballs at times in this match was so out of character trying to get Carlsson to volley.
Noah vs. Carlsson (2/4)

The show continues. Carlsson has some damn fine hair and had such an unorthodox game. Too bad he had to retire at 21 after 5 knee operations, before he had a chance to win Roland Garros.
Voinea vs. Becker (2/2)
Просмотров 2,7 тыс.12 лет назад
Adrian Voinea qualified for 1995 RG where he made the quarter finals, this was his biggest ever win over Boris Becker in the 3rd round. Yes, there are some synch issues it's from the dvd, apologies for that

Adrian Voinea outplaying Boris Becker in Paris in very heavy conditions. Becker crying like a baby, all good fun.

Lucho takes the first set in a tiebreaker. He continues with the heavy forehands and wins in straight sets for the title.
Luis Horna vs. Chela 2006 Acapulco F (1/2)

Decided to repupload this, hopefully there won't be the glitches this time around. Luis Horna vs. Juan Ignacio Chela in the 2006 Acapulco final. Chela being his usual steady self and Horna was aggressive and making the play he defeated Calleri and Gaudio before making his second final on tour. The forehand was firing.

Corretja vs Gaudio (1/3)

This is from the 2002 Gstaad final between Alex Corretja and Gaston Gaudio. Some classic claycourt play, no ballbashing, two excellent single handed backhands on show in this match.
Corretja vs. Gaudio (3/3)

Corretja wins the final 6-3 7-6 7-6. It was a hard fought match, Corretja served for the match at 5-3 and then Gaudio served for it at 6-5, but couldn't get it done. Corretja celebrates with his coach Duarte who is smoking and his wife.

A white man.. impressive
Kent Carlsson - "Do you want to see my topsin, or my topspin?"
Do you have any of these other ATP Tour weekly highlight shows from the mid-90s? I'm a huge Muster fan.
I saw wilander to win against chesnokov in 1987 in Montecarlo and in Rome and he won very easily. But he Attacked more than in this match i Guess he has been known chesnokov was too hard top play Grom baseline.
kent maybe more topspin than nadal or another spanaird sergi bruguera
OLD is GOLD, remember ( young JOHN was SUPERB TENNIS VOLLEY PLAYER ) & IVAN LENDL was superb from back court. OLD TIME WHEN THEY WERE KINGS in their ERA. NEWER PEOPLE WILL COME & YOU BE OLD TOO. DO NOT BE ARROGANT.! RAFI Maine USA
If you miss Mecir, check out Sebastian Korda (Petr's son). Oddly enough, his grand strokes are quite similar to Mecir's.
It seems a very enjoyable match. Carlsson was a topspin addict, but also Noah uses a lot of top spin in some shots, which is strange for a serve and volley player.
FERRER. RTS.1 DOBRO.GOOD MON8NG..
Drop Shot: Because smashing the ball straight into the net is just too mainstream. Let's aim for new lows, people! 🤷♂️🎾
Back in time I've lost a bunch of match trying to ape his inimitable style LOL.
Carlsson? My favprite player of all time without a doubt. A Supernova I won't forget
Would you mind describing his style of play?
@@matveihilary he didn't want to mis a ground stroke but he didn't not want to also play balls that were hard for the opponent, so: low risk but deep top spinned balls, used as an agressive move. When at his best, too me, he was Mats Wilander 2.0 with an even sicker lob.
Guadio 🤙😉
LAS LESIONES NO DEJARON QUE HORNA ESCALARA MÁS, GENTE ES UNO DE NUESTROS GRANDES TENISTAS JUNTO A YZAGA Y OLMEDO.🇵🇪🤙
Hezekiel’s race of his life! Champion!
Talento + Reves a Una Mano = Gastón Gaudio 🤙
Atlanta 1996 was superb, and also the last free-for-all doping fest in those pre-EPO days.
1:51 "What the hell? A white guy took the gold! That's not supposed to happen" :p
Carlsson already more or less the same stupid brainsless game like today. Only difference is the racket technology.
you are the brainless one here - and also the incompetent one !
Carlsson joue trop souvent court .. et avec une balle liftée - cela ne pardonne pas à ce niveau de compétition. On oublie tellement vite le style et la classe de Yannick.
Hello ❤️ I was wondering if you had more videos where Carlos Moyà is featured? Like your Barcelona 96 one? ❤️
Superb footage, for me the best skids line up, what a talent Stuart was ❤️
and the full match??? Come oooon!
Mats Wilander has said when Mecir played his best tennis even the other top-players at the time used to rush to watch him play. No one wanted to miss that.
Great song, and Rusty’s epic hair !!
Greetings from Poland Łuczak😀😁
Why is there ball boy at the net that's distracting the old days
Those 80's addidas tennis kits are really nice
Dove posso trovare puntate di questo programma
Dove si possono trovare altre puntate?
nobody really liked lendl. reminds me of djokovix
Hey guys, you might be aware but at the end of the year all tennis fans can vote on ATP website their favourite player. Federer has been winning since ages ago but this year (if I'm not wrong) he won't be eligible. So let's vote for Novak, just saying...(unless Federer is in of course 😆).
So much topspin. Maybe the most ever.
Lo psicotico della palla x eccellenza...era il migliore
How we all love celebrating McEnroe.
Grande Lucho...!! Federer leyenda.
that was an ace..!, its obvious..
Rick Moranis was an umpire?
There were 2 million Rick Moranises walking around in those glasses in the 80s lol
He was simply beautiful to watch, poetry in motion. You just don't see that anymore, shame..................
Yep, that's why Mercir was called the Cat
Had it not been for that operation, Mecir definitely would have been one of the greats, his hand eye coordination was off the chain
why is everybody talking about Johhny Gray who finished in 7th wheb we all should talk about Rodal??
My Uni buddies and I joked that Mecir had a walk don't run approach to movement around the court and he always got there early. Magic inimitable movement!
Who remember about Mecir ??? 😳😳😳 Lendl was a so good player that he made me forget how shitty racket they had at this time
They were far too good 😃👍
Holy lot of craziness going on there
akej národnosti bol Mecir ?
at 1:15 what was that??
